Girls’ Generation to make a Korean comeback in January 2013

Girl’s Generation will be making a Korean comeback in January.
The girls had been originally scheduled for a comeback in late October. However, these plans were scrapped and they had to push back their comeback date.
This will be their first Korean comeback after a long 15 months since “The Boys” was released. The girls had no Korean promotions as a full group in 2012, so fans are looking forward for the January comeback.
Girls’ Generation has always garnered good results through a January comeback with hits such as “Gee” (2009) and “Oh!” (2010) both being released in January which attributed greatly to their incredible popularity. With the January comeback, they’re looking forward to another hit next year as well.
What kind of concept would you like to see for their Korean comeback?

‘The Guardian’ hails Girls’ Generation as the next K-Pop act to follow in Psy’s footsteps

British newspaper ‘The Guardian‘ recently published a feature on Girls’ Generation and predicted that the “Korea pop princesses” will follow in Psy‘s steps as the next K-pop act to hit it big in the international market.
It now seems certain that he has blazed a trail. Girls’ Generation , a nine-member Korean girl group who had racked up millions of sales throughout east Asia long before Psy made ‘air’ horseriding socially acceptable, are poised to release their first album recorded entirely in English. Tentatively due for release next year by Lady Gaga‘s label, Interscope, the album will mark the group’s first serious effort to court English-speaking music fans. The women, all aged between 21 and 23, are the obvious choice to take up Psy’s mantle in the UK, where artists who sell millions of albums in Korea and Japan are known only to a small number of K-pop devotees.
Girls’ Generation previously appeared on American television with performances on CBS‘ ‘The David Letterman Show‘, ABC‘s ‘Live With Kelly‘, and NBC‘s ‘Extra TV‘ during their promotions for “The Boys“.

TVXQ become cover models for the December issue of ‘Esquire’

The boys of TVXQ are the cover models for the December issue of ‘Esquire‘.
In the photos, the pair showed off their perfect masculine side, setting a rough and silent mood. The two wore classic yet rough suits and even pulled off light action moves while having deep gazes. In the interview portion, the pair talked about the challenges of being public figures that receive much love from fans.
In other news, TVXQ will be releasing their follow up song “Humanoids” on November 26th. They will also perform at ‘SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR III‘ in Singapore on November 23rd and in Thailand on November 25th.

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon brings laughter to fans with her quick change of facial expressions

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon has been drawing attention for making a variety of different facial expressions at a baby.
An online community forum recently uploaded a video of her with the title “Taeyeon, making faces at a baby and then pretending she didn’t“.
The video showed Taeyeon staring at a baby that was being carried by her mother and what drew the interest of fans was the looped facial expression that Taeyeon was making. She cooed the baby with loving eyes while sticking her lips out, but she suddenly stopped her actions and quickly reverted back to a straight face.
Netizens commented on her adorable yet bizarre behavior saying, “A baby is teasing a baby,” “Taeyeon is too cute,” and “Lovely and cute Taeyeon.

Who has broader shoulders, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk or Son Dam Bi?

On the latest episode of ‘Strong Heart‘ sexy soloist Son Dam Bi‘s strong, yet beautiful shoulders were taken notice of by the guests on set.
Son Dam Bi revealed, “I swam for 9 years”, explaining her broad shoulders. To show the audience, she took Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk‘s jacket and put it on. Although the jacket itself was slightly boxy on her, the shoulder area fit her just fine.
Not to be outdone by Son Dam Bi, Eunhyuk tried to reason that ”It’s a slim-fitting jacket“, which didn’t end up convincing the MCs and the guests.
And so, a measuring tape was then brought out to measure the breadth of Son Dam Bi and Eunhyuk’s shoulders. Eunhyuk’s shoulder width came out to be 43 cm, and Son Dam Bi’s came out to be 45 cm, and both couldn’t help but be flustered at the result; Eunhyuk was a bit embarrassed that he had narrower shoulders than a woman, while Son Dam Bi was equally embarrassed that her shoulders were broader than a man’s.

TVXQ to become the first Korean artist and the fourth international artist to hold a five Dome tour in Japan

TVXQ has one again accomplished a new feat in Japan as they have announced their plans of embarking on a five Dome tour across the nation!
The group will be kicking off the tour on April 27th of 2013, starting at the Saitama Super Arena, then moving onto Tokyo Dome, Osaka Kyocera Dome, Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome, Sapporo Dome, and Nagoya Dome.
What makes this so special? Well, this will be the first time that a Korean artist has embarked on a tour that spans across five major Domes. The group will also become the fourth international artist to hold a tour of such a grand scale, following after legendary superstars Bon JoviEagles, and Billy Joel.

The group will also be releasing a new Japanese single containing the Japanese version of “Catch Me” as well as new song “I Know” on January 16th, giving fans even more to look forward to with the new year.
On the news about their five Dome tour, TVXQ commented, “We are so happy that a five Dome tour, which we have been dreaming about since debut, has been decided on. We will work hard to prepare good music and performances, so please anticipate it and give us your support and interest.”
